The short answer
Rift consumes D-pad inputs while its dribble mode is active so a dribble press does not also open a game camera or zoom menu. Check the mode before treating that behavior as a controller fault.

Dribble combos. One button.
Trigger dribble combos without memorizing every stick pattern. Keep your movement and shooting mods together in one script.

Rift — the #1 2K27 Cronus Zen script.
Rift’s menu lets you choose dribble controls or a simpler baseline without rebuilding the file.
Compare Rift with other 2K27 scripts →Do this first
- Look at Dribble Mode in the current saved build.
- Turn it OFF for a clean normal D-pad comparison.
- Test outside the Rift menu and note the difference.
One button cannot be judged without its mode
The same physical direction can navigate Rift’s menu, select a scripted dribble, or reach the game depending on the current state. If you test with the menu open, you are not testing the same path as gameplay. Close it and confirm the active mode before comparing results.
Do not assume an OFF custom move restores every input
CUSTOM can still be the active dribble mode even when one direction has no move assigned. The source’s D-pad handling is based on the mode and active combos, not simply whether that direction names a move. Use Dribble Mode OFF when you want a straightforward baseline.
Choose the behavior you need
If you use D-pad dribbles, learn the tradeoff and keep a documented build for that setup. If you prefer normal game-menu access during a session, switch the feature off and save intentionally. A controller input check can confirm the physical button still works if the result remains unclear.

Common questions
Is the controller necessarily broken?
No. First check whether the script is intentionally handling the input.
Does an empty custom direction turn the whole mode off?
No. Set Dribble Mode itself to OFF for that comparison.
