The short answer
Circle/B exits the custom-dribble editor and saves its selections. That is a different step from leaving Rift’s main menu for gameplay.

- Check whether you are editing Dribble UP, DOWN, LEFT, or RIGHT.
- Use Circle/B to save and return from the custom editor.
- Confirm the main menu state before returning to gameplay.
Recognize the nested editor
From Dribble Mode CUSTOM, Cross/A opens the direction editor. Left and right choose the direction slot; up and down change the selected move. If you expect left and right to browse the main sixteen-page menu while inside this editor, the controls can look as though they are stuck.
Back out deliberately
Use the custom editor’s exit before judging whether the main menu has closed. Confirm the displayed page after each action. Do not keep pressing buttons quickly if you are unsure which menu has focus; that can make a harmless navigation mistake look like settings changed on their own.
Check the intended build
Custom selections are part of the saved setup you are working on. Record the build and assigned moves if you have several configurations. After saving, test one direction with the menu fully closed so you are observing gameplay input rather than menu navigation.
