- Confirm Dribble Mode is AUTO or CUSTOM, not OFF.
- For CUSTOM, inspect the move assigned to the direction you press.
- Release L2/LT and finish any active shot before testing a fresh D-pad press.
AUTO and CUSTOM need different checks
AUTO uses preset sequences. CUSTOM uses the selections saved for each direction, including OFF. If up works and left does not, inspect the left slot before reinstalling the file. A direction with no move selected is not evidence that all custom dribbling has failed.
Test one direction cleanly
Close the menu, make sure no shooting or dribble action is already running, and press only the intended direction. The supplied source prevents starting another dribble while a relevant action is busy. Stacking presses makes it harder to tell whether a setting or action priority explains the result.
Match the game setup too
A scripted sequence and the animation you see are not identical concepts. Your in-game animations and player setup matter. Record the selected move and what actually happens, then use that description in support rather than only saying “dribbles broken.” Keep the working directions unchanged while isolating the one that fails.
