Choose Button or Rhythm before tuning
Open Auto Green and choose BUTTON or RHYTHM. Auto Green MS changes the value for the selected mode, and the two modes store separate timing values. The timing page is hidden when Auto-Green is off. Do not assume a value you found for Button is also right for Rhythm.
Let Value Finder guide the timing test
Open Value Finder with Cross/A and choose Auto-Green. Take the shot shown by the prompt and enter EARLY, EXCELLENT or LATE from your game. Keep the build and jumper unchanged as the finder chooses the next value to test. Choose SAVE MS when you want to apply a result; mixed feedback may mean you need another consistent test.

Start with 10 ms changes
Use the same player and jump shot. Change the timing by 10 ms, take another shot, and keep moving in the direction that improves the release.
Finish with 1 ms changes
When the release is close, switch to Rift’s 1 ms adjustment. Make one small change, shoot again, and repeat until the timing is where you want it.
Save your timing
Save the best value in one of Rift’s three build slots. You can keep different settings for different MyPLAYER builds or jump shots.
If your shot changes
A new jump shot, controller setup, display, connection, or NBA 2K27 update can change timing. Load your saved value first, then make small adjustments if needed.
