Look for an unintended modifier
A bumper held while navigating, a trigger that is not fully released, or an external controller remap can change the input Rift reads. The supplied step function returns ten when raw L2 or R1 is above 20. Check the physical input before blaming the D-pad or reprogramming the file.
Allow for the boundary
Auto Green MS is limited to 100–1500 and Vibrator MS to 200–1000. A ten-unit change near an edge can be clamped to a smaller visible difference. Move away from the boundary for a clear one-step check, preserving the original value first.
Restore and save intentionally
Once the step is understood, return to the intended setting or keep a deliberate adjustment. Save in the correct build and mode. This is a menu-control check, not evidence that a ten-unit timing change improves shooting. Keep any gameplay comparison separate so you know what actually changed.
